Avocado Plum Salsa

1 ripe Hass avocado, seeded and peeled
2 ripe plums, seeded and diced
1 green onion, sliced
2 tablespoons chopped cilantro
1 tablespoon lime juice
1/2 teaspoon Tabasco sauce
1/4 teaspoon salt

Toss ingredients together. Let sit in refrigerator for at least 1/2 hour before serving.

Plums are coming out of our ears. When they first ripen we stand in front of the trees and stuff ourselves, juice running down our arms, spitting out the pits. Then the novelty wears off.  True to our nature as omnivores with complex nutritional requirements, our brains tell us - "Enough plums already. Go eat something else."

We're picking our avocado crop and during the process fruit drops to the ground and ripens. The combination was inevitable. Should be good with tonight's pulled pork soft tacos and red wine.
